    My Students

Burnaby Central Secondary is a public secondary school in Burnaby. I teach Science 8, Science 9, Biology 11.. My classes include an abundant complexity of students from many ethnic backgrounds, most of whom are learning English as a second language. Our classroom community thrives on authentic hands-on learning experiences that connect our classroom with the community and the environment in our neighbourhoods.

How will this project impact them?

The funding of the technology will allow my students to create engaging videos of their lab experiments and projects with quality sound. Recording, editing, and producing the videos will deepen my student's understanding of scientific concepts. Creating engaging videos will showcase the student's science learning and allow alternative assessment. My students want to be creators in the 21st century.
