  • My Class Needs keva planks and sphero robot covers to explore their own creativity.

    Launched October 12th, 2017 Project Deadline January 10th, 2018
Classroom Size 22 Students School Size 470 Students

    My Students

The students that will be using the keva planks and sphero robots will be in grades 6 and 7, and are part of a school technology club that is growing in popularity. They are an intelligent and motivated bunch of kids, and always enjoy working at projects that provide them with new and stimulating challenges. These students have a solid technology foundation for the most part, and I am excited to see what they can accomplish if given the resources and opportunities.

How will this project impact them?

My students will be using the keva planks and sphero robots to participate in building and coding activities in our class exploration stations. My goal with the exploration stations is to create a culture of cutting edge learning and exploring in the school. I want to give the students the opportunity to experience different aspects of technology, and how they can utilize technology to the best of their abilities. I believe that coding and robotics are going to be a big part of these students’ futures, and those students that have early experience in these areas will be much better equipped for what lies ahead. The building and coding skills and abilities that these students will gain through the use of these keva planks and sphero robots will be valuable tools that they can build on and take with them to use throughout their educational years and beyond.

    * Fulfillment Materials: This covers the physical costs of processing teacher and student thank-you letters and pictures, including printing, postage, labels, envelopes, cover sheets, etc.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds.
