  • My Class Needs music player to help with the language aquisition

French Music and audio books in class Classroom Project at Herbert Spencer Elementary
    Launched October 13th, 2017 Project Deadline March 23rd, 2018
Classroom Size 21 Students School Size 474 Students

    My Students

My students come from a diverse educational and socio-economical background. Most of them don't have any contact with French outside the classroom. They love listening to music and audio books. Having a few iPods would help individualize their learning.

How will this project impact them?

Music and singing is a fun way to expose children to a new language. It also makes it easier for language acquisition. My students are emergent language learners and I feel they would greatly benefit from using iPods. Their learning would be enhanced through the use of this medium. Specifically, their comprehension of the French language and the rate of learning can be tied directly to their exposure to oral language.
