  • My Class Needs discovery ramps to develop their critical thinking and science knowledge

    Launched October 11th, 2017 Project Deadline December 31st, 2017
Classroom Size 16 Students School Size 327 Students

    My Students

I work with 16 active and curious Kindergarten students. They love to explore and are especially engaged with hands-on learning. They learn best when they are physically moving and experimenting with materials.

How will this project impact them?

If given the “Discovery Ramp Set”, the children will be able to gain an understanding of force and motion. Through designing and inventing their own ramp structures during inquiry or outdoor education time , the students will build an understanding of mathematics and science; as well as, develop their core competencies of critical and creative thinking. It is my goal that through building and experimenting with these ramps the children will develop their knowledge of physics-based concepts (gravity, mass, slope). They will continue to develop a love for learning.

    * Fulfillment Materials: This covers the physical costs of processing teacher and student thank-you letters and pictures, including printing, postage, labels, envelopes, cover sheets, etc.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds. To do that we need a world- class website supported by strong business systems and processes that improve over time.
