  • My Class Needs robots and Microbits to learn coding, design, and electronics

    My Students

    This will benefit students of all ages in our school, from grades 8-12, and beyond with our after school programs. It will primarily benefit those students with an interest in STEM, coding, and robotics, but the Microbits are an item that can be used by students of all interests to integrate electronics into projects of all content types.

    How will this project impact them?

    The Lego EV3 sets will be used as an introduction to robotics and programming for our computer science courses and after school clubs. The EV3's have coding that is an easy entry level, and once the coding is learned, the many sensors of the EV3 core set can be used in Science courses as well. The Microbits have a wide range of applications, from introducing electronics and coding, to integrating electronics into everyday student projects due to their ease of use and wide range of compatible add ons.
