  • My Class Needs Sphero SPRK+ to facilitate STEM learning activities

    Launched October 1st, 2017 Project Deadline January 10th, 2018
Classroom Size 30 Students School Size 345 Students

    My Students

We are a class of 30 energetic and inquisitive students with a variety of learning needs. We have an enthusiastic teacher who would love to implement 21st century skills such as technology and inquiry through various subjects and lessons with a STEM focus. Our use of technology is limited in our inner city school and many of us do not have the opportunity to explore with robotics at home either. Our learning opportunities would be greatly increased if we had access to our own classroom robots.

How will this project impact them?

Through the use of robots, we can enhance our learning by connecting, collaborating, and creating. We could learn how to code with Sphere SPRK+… the possibilities are constantly growing and endless! We are more engaged and eager to learn when technology is involved, and we then love to share what we learned with our classmates, our school, and our world. Access to our own classroom robots would allow us to participate in more projects where we can explore our passions in Science, Engineering, and Technology. Through learning to code with robots, we will enhance our 21st century skills, preparing us for our future. Your support would enhance our love of learning and enable us to reach our full potential.

    * Fulfillment Materials: This covers the physical costs of processing teacher and student thank-you letters and pictures, including printing, postage, labels, envelopes, cover sheets, etc.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds. To do that we need a world- class website supported by strong business systems and processes that improve over time.
