  • My Class Needs flexible seating options to maximize their learning.

    My Students

The students in my Grade 3 class make up an incredible multicultural mosaic. Most of them are learning English as their second (or third!) language. As an inner city school, my students have a lot of social/emotional, academic and sensory needs. I would like to provide them with flexible seating options to ensure that they are comfortable and able to focus on their learning.

How will this project impact them?

Flexible seating options will help my students in all areas of their learning. They will be able to choose a spot to work collaboratively with their peers, or find a seat tucked away from the others so they can focus on their independent tasks. My students will develop mindfulness and self regulation skills, as they really pay attention to what they need to be successful at different times of the day. Providing many different options will allow them to find what works best for them, and maximize their learning.

    * Fulfillment Materials: This covers the physical costs of processing teacher and student thank-you letters and pictures, including printing, postage, labels, envelopes, cover sheets, etc.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds. To do that we need a world- class website supported by strong business systems and processes that improve over time.
