Encouraging a Growth Mindset in Learners Classroom Project at Frost Road Elementary
    Launched August 11th, 2017 Project Deadline January 8th, 2018
Classroom Size 26 Students School Size 570 Students

    My Students

I teach a group of diverse grade 5 students who each have a different learning style . As a teacher, my first goal is to unlock the potential in all my students. I believe that my students can do anything and there is no sealant on their potential . I believe in building a relationship of trust and helping students build a growth mindset. We are a Google classroom that believes in sharing our learning with a one another by providing feedback, collaborating and discussing our learning goals.

How will this project impact them?

Our school goal has been to implement formative assessment practices more effectively. In order to do this, students will be using features of Google, such as Docs, Drive, etc, to communicate and reflect on their learning. We will be focusing specifically on our learning intentions and core competencies to help students take ownership of their own learning. I believe that students will be able to take the feedback given to them by their peers and teacher and identify their strengths and areas of growth. Having access to reliable technology will not only allow my students to grow as learners but also instill a belief that they can achieve anything if they are active and in charge of their learning.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds. To do that we need a world- class website supported by strong business systems and processes that improve over time.
