  • My Class Needs 6 BeeBots to explore programming in a fun way!

    My Students

In September, I will have 22 busy four and five year old students from various cultures excited to be starting Kindergarten. These students will thrive on hands on activities to keep them engaged in their learning. They would love having technology incorporated into the classroom to help enhance their experiences.

How will this project impact them?

If our Kindergarten class had programmable robotic Bee-Bots, students would be introduced to programming and coding at an early age and in a fun way. The BeeBots bring excitement to all subject areas as they engage children in a variety of cross curricular activities, while allowing students to develop many skills such as problem solving, critical/creative thinking, and communication which are important skills embedded in the new curriculum. Through teamwork students will program their Bee-Bots to move through pathways they create themselves or move to a designated area on a specially designed floor mat. I hope to engage students in many hands on experiences using the BeeBots to allow learning through exploration and play while allowing students the opportunity to gain the skills to be life long learners.

    * Fulfillment Materials: This covers the physical costs of processing teacher and student thank-you letters and pictures, including printing, postage, labels, envelopes, cover sheets, etc.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds. To do that we need a world- class website supported by strong business systems and processes that improve over time.
