  • My Class Needs STEAM manipulatives to further extend their learning in ADST.

    Launched July 20th, 2017 Project Deadline January 10th, 2018
Classroom Size 24 Students School Size 407 Students

    My Students

I teach grade 1 and 2 students in the District Intensive Fine Arts Program in a dual track school. In our program, teachers are expected to integrate all curriculum areas with the fine arts. My students are excited to explore ADST and STEAM as part of their learning. Through both these areas students develop perseverance, resilience, and cooperation. Posing and solving questions are exciting parts of the learning process.

How will this project impact them?

The inclusion of STEAM/STEM manipulatives in our classroom will allow students to work collaboratively to pose and solve problems in ADST (Applying Design and Skills Technology) as part of our revised curriculum. These manipulatives will also support students in their learning in math, science, and literacy. Students will learn to pose questions, persevere to find solutions, and share their learning.

    * Fulfillment Materials: This covers the physical costs of processing teacher and student thank-you letters and pictures, including printing, postage, labels, envelopes, cover sheets, etc.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds. To do that we need a world- class website supported by strong business systems and processes that improve over time.
