High School Photography Option Start up Classroom Project at Central High Sedgewick Public School
    Launched June 27th, 2017 Project Deadline November 24th, 2017

    My Students

We are a small school in Southern Alberta with approx. 500 students from K-12. We bring in many students from around our area since we are one of the only high schools around and are trying to incorporate more of a variety of options at our school for those students. This year we are adding a photography option, however, only have one camera and no other equipment at all.

How will this project impact them?

Photography is not something you learn by just reading books and watching someone else take photos. Photography is something that you learn by doing; by taking photos and manipulating a camera, its equipment and its settings. We are hoping to collect some money in order to buy another camera, a macro lens and some smaller photo equipment, such as a reflector and a flash. We would love to see this program be successful and hopefully inspire those artistic students to pursue the arts throughout post secondary institutions.

    * Fulfillment Materials: This covers the physical costs of processing teacher and student thank-you letters and pictures, including printing, postage, labels, envelopes, cover sheets, etc.

** Payment Processing Fee: An average of fees charged to MyClassNeeds for processing donations (e.g. credit card payments through a secure server). We have worked hard to select the most secure option for the cost.

*** Optional Donation: An optional donation to support MyClassNeeds which is calculated at 15% of the project’s price tag. The optional contribution supports the work we do to engage teachers, build awareness, and to generally run MyClassNeeds. To do that we need a world- class website supported by strong business systems and processes that improve over time.
