Program Rules

  • Projects that are submitted will be reviewed by MyClassNeeds.ca to determine if they meet eligibility guidelines
  • Projects that meet the guidelines will be submitted to the Wintergreen selection panel
  • If selected, projects will be posted and their full project cost will be funded by Wintergreen.
  • Wintergreen selection panel will choose up to 10 projects each quarter.
  • Projects are to have a maximum cost of $1,000 (before taxes and fees)
  • Wintergreen and MyClassNeeds reserve the right to adjust the number of projects funded in any given quarter
  • Project applications will be suspended when the Wintergreen 40 for 40 Fund is fully allocated to posted projects in a given quarter and will resume when funds are again available.
  • Project applications will resume when funds become available
  • Teachers must comply with all MyClassNeeds program rules, including the completion of a close-out package if their project is successful

FAQ

  • What does the initiative involve?

    Wintergreen will provide 100% funding to selected qualifying projects posted to MyClassNeeds.ca. All classroom project requests must be approved by MyClassNeeds to be eligible for funding.

    To qualify, projects must meet the program eligibility criteria.

  • Do classroom projects receive cash funding?

    No, the projects must outline resources (products or services) needed to accomplish the project goals and their associated costs. If a project is successfully funded (i.e. selected for funding by the Wintergreen selection panel) MyClassNeeds then purchases the resources and ensures their delivery to the classroom.

     
  • How are projects posted and made available for funding?

    MyClassNeeds will review each classroom project request submitted to confirm that the project and submitter meets the eligibility requirements. Once MyClassNeeds approves the classroom project request, MyClassNeeds will forward the project to the Wintergreen selection panel. If a project is selected for funding, MyClassNeeds will post the project on MyClassNeeds.ca, assign funding and commence purchasing.

  • Discontinuance

    Should the program be discontinued for any reason, MyClassNeeds.ca distributes any remaining funds to eligible projects posted on MyClassNeeds.ca
