To help you reach as many potential donors as possible, MCN built a platform that enables you (and anybody in your network) to quickly and easily spread the word about your project(s).
Every project page contains a set of personalized tools to help spread the word about each individual project. The tools, labeled as ‘Promote This Project’, are located on the right-hand side of each project page, below the donation button.
Project link – a unique link to connect people directly to a project on this website.
Social Media Links – which allow everybody to spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, as well as e-mail.
A Flyer Print Button – allowing you to print a 1-page flyer of your project and share it within your circles (at work, the community centre, grocery store, etc.) The flyer will feature a QR code which can be scanned by a smart phone and links directly to the project page.
Embed Feature – This feature allows you to place your project on a blog or website. (e.g. if you have a blog or website that is well visited, you could ‘embed’ the project on your site to increase the visibility of the project. Your colleagues, friends, customers or followers can do the same on their own websites or blogs.)
We want to help every project find potential partners. However, nobody knows your community better than you and your colleagues.
Potential partners in your community may include:
Your supporters are powerful allies in spreading the word about your project. Let them know that promotion through their social networks (online or via word of mouth or flyers) can be as important as donations themselves.
MCN is here to help. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Finish your edits on this page and activate your community by clicking the Create Community button in the top right.
Then navigate to projects that you'd like to include in your community and add them using the Add to Community button that appears on the right-hand sidebar of every project page.
You can remove projects from your community from either the Add To Community dropdown on the project page (clicking the "X" beside the project you'd like to remove) or by editing your community.
Hmmm... looks like there was an error. We're really sorry about this.
Once you click "confirm" your donation credit will be re-assigned to this project and there will be no way to reverse the transaction. These are all worthy projects though, so not to worry!×
Your donation credit has now been re-assigned to this project. Click the button below to close this window. The page will refresh and you will see your donation reflected in the project total.×
